Pastor: Rev. Dr. J. Michael (Mickey) Robertson


Dr. Mickey Robertson was called as pastor of Elk Creek Baptist Church on December 20, 2015.

Before coming to Elk Creek, Rev. Dr. J. Michael (Mickey) Robertson was a minister for seventeen years and served two churches. He taught at several different colleges and has even been a college baseball coach. Pastor Mickey and his wife, Pam, have been married for 31 years and have recently, and abruptly, become “empty nesters,” with Erin and Katie going to college in Richmond and Harrisonburg, and David now stationed as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps in Twentynine Palms, CA.


Pianist and Organist: Mr. Brad Brown

Brad Brown is Elk Creek Church’s pianist and organist. A Richmond, VA native, Brad graduated from Douglas Freeman High school and studied Business Administration at Hampden Sydney College. Brad worked for a family-owned auto parts business from 1979 until he sold the business in 2007.

Brad began piano lessons at age 7 and studied piano for nine years. He grew up in Tabernacle Baptist Church in Richmond. He served as co-organist/pianist for choir and worship services at Westhunt Baptist Church in Henrico Co. from 1991-1998. From 1999 until 2006 Brad served as pianist for the choir and worship services at Gayton Baptist Church in Henrico Co. Additionally, he played professionally in three different secular bands from 1985 until 2005, traveling and performing throughout Virginia. Since 2008 Brad has been employed full-time by Goochland County, VA as a Fire Fighter and EMT-B.

Brad is married to the former Dottie Campbell. She and Brad have two children: Catherine, who presently attends college and Robert, who will be graduating from Goochland High School shortly.
